Join us to commemorate both VE & VJ Day in our 1940s themed weekend.
Usual admission fees apply. Discover more about VJ Day and nurses during World War II in fascinating displays. Enjoy seeing Classic World War II vehicles in the Carriage Circle and relax in the grounds listening to 1940s music as you sip a drink from Schoonersbar, have a picninc and test your luck on our Covid friendly tombola.
Why not dress up for occasion – our staff and volunteers will be! (Allied costumes only)
Please be aware that for your safety this is a small scale event, with carefully selected quality stalls and displays. We’re still sure that you’ll have a wonderful day enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, open spaces and of course seeing the Castle itself.

To ensure we can hold this event safely, you must pre-book your arrival time.
One ticket is required per person.
Payment will be taken upon arrival to the Castle. Please present your booking receipt at reception.
If you do not arrive within your pre-booked arrival time, you may be refused entry. Places are limited per time slot.
