Wartime Worcestershire by Paul Harding (Discover History)

Worcestershire had enthusiastically answered the call to arms during the Great War. The call was repeated in the 1930s, and by 1944 the County was filled with military sites and troops waiting to retake Nazi occupied Europe. Learn more about the County and the part it played in helping to win the Second World War. From Home Guard check points and a secret resistance force, to the Women’s Land Army and how households coped with rationing and the worry of air raids. A talk illustrated with artefacts.

£14 per person, includes a cream tea
