Kick back and relax with friends or family in our historic setting\, get competitive with ‘pub’ games\, lawn games and our Board Game Station\, and enjoy the third iteration of this exciting event. \nAs ever\, we present the Belgian Beer Bash working with the wonderful TripelB Belgian Beer Café Worcester and in collaboration with Belgian breweries Chouffe\, Vedett\, Rodenbach and Palm\, and Trappist brewery La Trappe. \nChoose from a selection of beers at the Chouffe\, Swinkels and TripelB bars as live music from talented bands creates a fun\, chilled experience – ideal for a summer weekend. With Darren Mather and Gazza T Jones\, joined on occasions by Sam Benson (bass/guitar) and Phil Brown (drums and percussion)\, Wattle & Riff are a New Tradition Blues / Country Blues / Acoustic Soul combo with a rustic texture and pure suburban musical grit. The Rude AwakeningThe Rude Awakening are a Midlands based synthpop duo consisting of Bridget Gray and Johnny Normal. They perform 1980s electro and new wave classics including those of Depeche Mode\, Ultravox\, New Order\, Erasure\, Blondie\, The Human League\, Gary Numan\, OMD\, Japan\, Hazel O’Connor\, Duran Duran\, Visage\, Eurythmics\, Tears for Fears\, Erasure\, Pet Shop Boys\, and more. Click here to get tickets\nFood\nThe Van Waffle Company will have delicious Belgian waffles on offer with a variety of toppings like Millionaire’s Shortbread and Banoffle\, served freshly-made from Vincent van Waffle\, their fabulous trailer! \nCountry House Occasions will be taking orders for tasty burgers and slow-roasted pulled pork baps (including a vegan spicy bean burger and gluten free options)\, cooked while you wait to complement your beer. They will also be bringing Belgium inspired Ploughman’s boxes (vegan option available). \nYou can tuck into ice cream\, popcorn\, snacks and soft drinks from the Hartlebury Castle snack station if you’ve still got room afterwards! \n\n\nGames\nChallenge each other to a game from our Board Game Station! Borrow a ‘pub game’\, puzzle\, card game\, brain teaser\, party game or classic board game\, play it with your group – then bring it back and borrow another. Perfect for whiling away a summer afternoon outdoors with great company and great drinks. \nGet stuck into lawn games too\, including: \n\nChouffe cornhole\nGiant chess and draughts\nGiant jenga\nGiant dominoes\nKubb\n\nYou can also browse our volunteers’ plant stall\, find unique wooden items like hand-turned bowls and wooden decorations from Sandy Bridger Woodturner\, and shop for local produce (such as the award-winning Emily’s Jams)\, summer gifts for all ages\, novelty socks\, toys and more from the Castle stall. \nPlus\, look out for the raffle and the second-hand bookstand! \n\n\nTickets – first 150 ticketholders online get a free Belgian beer branded glass!\nThis is a fundraising event for Hartlebury Castle Trust. \n£6 entry for the Belgian Beer Bash (beer and food not included). DESCRIPTION:Click here to get ticketsStep back in time with The Sealed Knot on a special anniversary…\nThe Sealed Knot return to Hartlebury Castle with an incredible Civil War battlefield brought to life! 2026 marks 375 years since the Battle of Worcester\, as well as the 380th anniversary of the ‘Battle of Hartlebury’ when it fell to the Parliamentarians. There’s no better time to see this amazing re-enactment society in action – the largest in Europe! \nOn Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July from 11am to 5pm\, bring along the whole family to our stunning Castle setting\, transformed so that you can experience the past. \nWitness the spectacle of the feature event: The Battle of Hartlebury! Complete with infantry\, artillery and cavalry troops (up to 400 re-enactors)\, the Castle attempts to hold out for the King one final time in a thrilling Civil War re-enactment – including a march to the site that you can follow behind\, and a replica bastion built to scale. \nOther highlights to immerse yourself in include: \n\nMeet wonderful 17th century re-enactors as the Castle is taken over by soldiers and transformed into a Royalist garrison (as it really was during the Civil War)! Who do you support – the King or Parliament?\nExperience civilian life as the Carriage Circle becomes a living history camp showing period clothes\, food preparation\, crafts\, art\, games and more – find out what it was really like to live and fight in Worcestershire during the time.\nSee fascinating demonstrations of period weapons and tactics.\nHave a go with a pike and see if you’ve got what it takes to join the troops!\nMeet the cavalry horses.\nWatch a parade of 17th century fashion.\nGet stuck into hands-on activities.\nEnjoy amazing performance displays.\nWitness firing cannons!\nComplete fun children’s activity sheets and treasure hunts.\nDiscover living history displays on the ground floor of the historic Bishop’s Palace – watch out for Bishop Prideaux!\nBlow off steam in the adventure playground.\nPlus\, more to be announced…\n\nHartlebury Castle Trust is immensely grateful to Wychavon District Council for their suppport\, which has enabled this event to take place\, as well as to Visit Worcestershire for additional funding from the Civil War 375 Commemoration Fund. \nTickets\nThis is a fundraising event for Hartlebury Castle Trust. \nAdult: £10\nChild (5-16 years): £5\nUnder 5s: Free\nGuardians and Worcestershire Resident Passholders: Free \nWe allow free entry for one Carer per full paying ticketholder.
