Spend time with the family as you enjoy fun themed activities as part of your visit to Hartlebury Castle.  On the last Sunday of the month, come along and try our Family Sunday activity with a different theme every month. Each activity is inspired by the history of the Castle & Grounds and is free with the cost of admission.

Sunday 24th February
Medieval Thumb Pots

Inspired by our medieval Great Hall, work with professional artist Kay Mullett to make medieval style clay thumb pots. Once complete, you can take your pot home to store bits and bobs, jewellery, or maybe even some lego figures!

Mothers’ Day Plant Pots

Create a beautiful plant pot as a present for mum, or maybe just for yourself! Don’t forget, it’s also free entry to the Castle for all mums when accompanied by a child of any age.

Paper Making with Spring Flowers

Inspired by the beautiful flowers blooming in our grounds and of course, the paper in our wonderful books in the Hurd Library! Have a go at paper making and take your own piece of paper home to draw or write on. We’re not sure if they’ll work as paper planes though…

Victorian Games

The Victorian era is a key part of the stories we tell at Hartlebury Castle, and we’re celebrating with a morning of Victorian Games. Come along on Sunday morning and try your hand at:
Hoop trundling (Hoop and stick)
Have a go wtih Skipping Ropes
Plus dress up as a Victorian!

Medieval Medicine

Enjoy a live re-enactment of historical medieval practices with Bows, Blades & Battles.

Sunday 28th July
Willow Weaving

Work with professional artist Paul Simmons and have a go at willow weaving. More information coming soon.

No Family Sunday

We’re having a break over the Summer Holiday, but don’t forget to try our fun chidren’s craft activities throughout August and come along to our Awesome Owls and Fantastic Falconry Bank Holiday event.
