Strap in for a whirlwind of laughter, enchantment, and unexpected surprises in this riotous, fun-filled, open-air romp with award-winning Immersion Theatre.

Follow Prospero, a marooned magician with a few tricks up his sleeve, as he conjures up storms, mischievous spirits, and second chances. With light-hearted magic, audience participation, and a cast of delightfully quirky characters, this version of The Tempest is perfect for perfect for families, first-time Shakespeare-goers, and anyone who loves a bit of theatrical chaos under the stars.

So, bring a blanket, snacks, and your sense of humour as this fun-filled, family friendly production promises an afternoon of wonder, wit, and just the right touch of theatrical mischief under the open sky. This is Shakespeare as it’s meant to be: interactive, fun, and highly accessible!

  • Doors open at 6pm. Bar and light refreshments available.

  • Well behaved dogs are welcome on a short lead, provided they are kept near the edge of the audience. Should they cause a distraction to others’ enjoyment (i.e. regular barking), we reserve the right to ask you to remove the dog until it has calmed down.

Immersion Theatre is an award-winning, multi-award nominated production and general management company specialising in family theatre and pantomime. Established in 2010 by STAGE ONE alumni, James Tobias and Rochelle Parry, Immersion’s passion for these genres have seen the company develop a loyal following and impressive reputation for the high quality of their work, garnering multiple award nominations.

Immersion Theatre is proud to have built up a notable portfolio of work which includes large-scale musicals, open-air UK tours, drama, and pantomime. Previous dramas include UK tours of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night and Romeo & Juliet. Musicals include UK tours of The Wizard of Oz, Jungle Book, Rapunzel, Our House and Rock of Ages.

This fast-paced, interactive production will be directed by Immersion’s Artistic Director James Tobias, who has directed every Immersion production to date and was recently nominated for Best Direction at the UK Pantomime Awards.
