Hurd Library and State Rooms Guided Tour
Tue 12 November, 2024 : 1.30 pm
Dive into the Castle’s secrets and history on a guided tour!
Step inside the breathtaking 18th century Hurd Library, not usually open to the public. Get the chance to hear a special talk from our Volunteer Librarians about Bishop Hurd, his fascinating life and his marvellous collection of books – you might even see one or two up close!
Continue your tour with a knowledgeable guide through the State Rooms – the atmospheric Chapel, the ornate Georgian Saloon and the magnificent Medieval Great Hall. Find out all about the rooms’ history and the people who lived and worked here over hundreds of years.
Finish your visit with a slice of cake and a cup of tea or coffee and ask your guide your burning questions!
This experience will last approximately two hours. Plus, you can explore the rest of the Castle at your leisure from 10am onwards, including Worcestershire County Museum – all included in your ticket.
