What’s in YOUR Garden?
Mon 26 May : 11.00 am - 4.00 pm
Get the kids engaged with nature on the late May bank holiday!
Embrace National Children’s Gardening Week at the Castle – a week dedicated to inspiring children’s curiosity about the outdoors and encouraging them to get out and grow in the garden.
Join Really Rural in the Carriage Circle for Wild Tribe activities! Create your own wild art, enjoy Mini Den Building, and learn about the animals just beyond your back door, as well as the tracks and trails you can use to identify them. Plus, explore the fascinating world of bugs…

Get ready to have green fingers by decorating your very own gardening apron. Plus, sow seedlings with the help of our volunteer gardeners and chat with them about pollinators, plants, the Castle grounds and everything in between! Take your seeds home to watch Mother Nature doing her work – you’ll be ready to explore the world of growing flowers, fruit and vegetables with your new accessory and knowledge…
Look out for nature-themed storytelling with Jen and her wildlife puppets in the grounds, pick up a plant or two from the plant stall, and browse our gardening and child-friendly book stalls too.
This event’s activities are perfect for children aged from 5 to 10.
Make a day of your trip by uncovering all the secrets of the Bishop’s Palace and Worcestershire County Museum while following the Bees and Bugs Family Trail. Enjoy the springtime scenes in our beautiful grounds and gardens and look out for the adventure playground!
