The Battle Plan Mystery Trail
Tue 21 July : 10.00 am - Thu 27 August : 5.00 pm
Celebrate a special anniversary at the Castle as you follow our Civil War summer trail!
It’s the English Civil War 1646 and Captain Sandys awaits his orders, but the battle plans have gone missing! Can you help him uncover the mystery, figure out whodunnit and defend the Castle?
Put your detective skills to the test on this history-themed family-friendly trail, running from Tuesday 21st July to Thursday 27th August and taking place in the 380th anniversary year of the ‘Battle of Hartlebury’, when the Castle fell to the Parliamentarians.
Explore the rest of the Bishop’s Palace, County Museum and historic grounds (included in your ticket), and see what secrets you can discover from throughout the centuries…
If you’re visiting on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in the summer holidays, why not get creative with our themed Civil War Summer Crafts too?
Plus, join us for more Civil War anniversary celebrations with the re-enactment spectacular of The Sealed Knot – The Fall of Hartlebury Castle from 25th to 26th July!
