Get crafty with Civil War themed activities at the Castle!

Hartlebury Castle is brimming with history – and 2026 marks the 380th anniversary of the ‘Battle of Hartlebury’, when it fell to the Parliamentarians. Mark this special year with us by using your imagination and creative skills in our English Civil War themed summer crafts – come back each week to enjoy a different activity!

When you’ve finished your fantastic craft, follow The Battle Plan Mystery Trail and become a detective to help Captain Sandys find his missing battle plans and defend the Castle…

Uncover centuries of history as you explore the Bishop’s Palace and Worcestershire County Museum too, and spot wildlife on a walk through the beautful grounds – before ending your day with a run around at the adventure playground.

The trail will run until Thursday 27th August.

Plus, join us for more Civil War anniversary celebrations with the re-enactment spectacular of The Sealed Knot – The Fall of Hartlebury Castle from 25th to 26th July!
