Explore Hartlebury Castle for free and discover the captivating stories about the Bishops of Worcester, the fascinating history of Worcestershire county and the wonderful wildlife around its grounds.
Home to the Bishops of Worcester from c. 850 – 2007, Hartlebury Castle is made up of the Bishop’s Palace sharing the stories of those who lived here, Worcestershire County Museum with its stunning exhibitions and collections, and its historic grounds offering a peaceful walk around the moat.
In addition to free entry, on Heritage Open Days you can also browse creative craft and delicious food stalls from local businesses, including chocolate, honey and handmade gifts. Worcestershire Woodturners will also be selling their beautiful hand-crafted items.

Plus, children can get creative with hands-on craft activities (for a small charge).
No booking required, however if our buildings reach our current capacities (restricted to keep safe distances for you), you may be asked to wait outside in the open grounds.
